Does NCFCA sound sound interesting to you?  Axios exists to support local families who desire to participate in NCFCA!  Read on and share a little bit about yourself...

 

 

Axios Membership 

 

• Membership is open to families intending to compete in NCFCA.

• Members will agree with NCFCA's Statement of Faith and Position Statements.

• NCFCA affiliation information may be found at NCFCA.org.

• At least one parent per family will attend Axios meetings with their child(ren).   In Axios, parents are co-learners with their students.  Parents and students act as coaches, teachers, and accountability partners.

• Classes are designed for NCFCA competition-aged students.  Students must turn 12 by January 1 of the current school year to compete in NCFCA.

• Children under competition age are welcome to attend Axios with their families.  Parents are responsible for supervising and bringing suitable materials to engage their younger children.  

• Fees will be determined and divided co-op style to cover facility and shared classroom expenses. We aim to keep fees at approximately $200 per family + $15 per child.

• Tournament materials will be purchased by each family for their child.

NCFCA Affiliation

• Axios supports families whose children compete in NCFCA Christian Speech and Debate.

• NCFCA affiliation and tournament fees are not included in the Axios club fees.

• 2025-2026 NCFCA Affiliation is required ($135 by July 31; $160 after August 1)

Parent Participation

• At Axios Speech and Debate, we are co-learners with our children...

• Parents attend and participate in club activities!

 

 

Club Meetings

Our learning community meets roughly three times a month, September-early May, at Auxano Church in Elm Grove.

 

We  are a community that learns together, and we encourage participation in both speech and debate (regardless of whether or not your child competes in both events!).

 Our day looks like:

10:30-12:15   Value Debtae

12:15-12:45   Lunch (bring your own)

12:45-2:30   Apologetics and Speech​​
