Speech
Together, we dive into the NCFCA speech categories. Your student will be challenged to explore new skills, from writing prepared speeches, to acting in "interp" speeches, to speaking off the cuff in a limited preparation speech.
Through speech, we hope our students will develop valuable life skills, including:
-
Research and preparation
-
Memorization
-
Thinking on the fly
-
Storytelling
-
Increasing dynamic range of communication
-
Non-verbal communication

Apologetics
As we study the NCFCA Apologetics Questions in preparation for tournaments, we have opportunity to dive into the Word together as we practice articulating our faith.

Debate
We uses Lincoln-Douglas Value Debate to train our students to argue in an honorable, respectful, and professional manner.
Through debate, we hope our students learn:
-
Formulating logical arguments
-
Critical thinking skills
-
Professionalism (in demeanor and conduct)
-
Research and preparation
-
Thinking on the fly
-
Organization
-
Gracious responses to argumentation
-
Persuasion
